Location
Delaware is located approximately 30.0 miles north of downtown Columbus and about 18.0 miles north of Dublin, Ohio. The drive time from Dublin to Delaware is approximately 30 minutes and to Delaware to downtown Columbus is about 40 minutes. It is the county seat of Delaware County.

Delaware, founded in 1808, offers country living at its best. It is the fastest growing suburban county in the state of Ohio. Delaware is known for its highly rated public schools and The Little Brown Jug, an annual harness horse racing event. It is also the location of Ohio Wesleyan University. Well-established neighborhoods are home to a relatively even mix of blue and white-collar workers, including professors and students from Ohio Wesleyan University. Delaware is home to churches, popular dining spots, the historic Strand Theatre, The Arts Castle, a farmer’s market, and a new recreation center. The historic suburb is perhaps best known, however, for its large houses and estates.

- Delaware Christian School, founded in 1973, is Pre-k through 12th grade school located at 45 Belle Avenue. Fees range from $3,010 to $6,830 for the 2019-2020 school year.
- St. Mary Elementary School, founded in 1885, is a Pre-k through 8th grade Roman Catholic school located at 66 E. Williams Street. Fees range from $4,250 to $6,200 for the 2019-2020 school year. Tuition assistance is available through the Diocese of Columbus and St. Mary School.
